Have you ever seen old videos of the nuclear testing that took place? If you haven't, which I can't imagine, take a minute to find a video online then explain to me how "shelter in place" will save the folks anywhere near a detonation site. It still boggles my mind how anyone survived the bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Of course many survivors didn't have their skin.

@PattyHanson I visited in 2009, as a chaperone for a high school group. We heard first hand from a survivor and toured their museum. I am not ashamed to say I cried, a lot, during the experience.

@ov_dragonman I can't even imagine the horror of it. There is no shame in crying. In fact, we should all cry.
