I've been researching various electronic circuits and sub-assemblies thereof recently. Plans afoot to make various things. I'm always surprised when something simple actually works, because it seems such a complicated thing to understand, especially when researching online. I'm always looking for something very specific and having to extract elements from similar but different circuits i find.

Anyway, this sporadic and disorganised research method has raised an interesting problem. I end up hand drawing little circuit components in various notebooks, crossing things out that don't work, putting ticks next to things that do. But I'll often leave one of the notebooks at home and not have it when I need it. My notes are all over the place and I end up having to look through my web search history to find where I got a bit from.

Apart from having a dedicated notebook for electronics, wondering how other people keep things like this organised?

@grahamdunning big ass binder that needs to become two.

I'm working on scanning it.

@RueNahcMohr very cool! thanks.
