I had to meet with the shitty surgeon again for my 1 week post op assessment. God, I hate her. She came to work with the flu and was coughing. She asked me if she should wear a mask because she was coughing so much. I said yes and she puts on a loose surgeon mask. Then she literally coughed in my fucking open wound, like the one in my labia that had a wound separation issue. Thank god she wore the mask, but even her colleague who was observing winced because it was a productive cough and she caught second hand embarrassment.

She was also just rude. She cut off her colleague who tried to answer one of my questions twice and said she didn't have time to answer questions. I asked for how long my wound would take to heal given there was wound separation and she was like "I'm not a gynecologist so I don't know. Maybe 6 weeks?" And when her colleague who WAS A OBGYN tried to answer she cut her off and told her not to answer me.

This is the same surgeon who previously said she wouldn't have helped me have a simple meta 6 years ago but that now they have to help everyone. (She was not the surgeon who actually operated on me, thank god. My actual surgeon is just on night call right now so he couldn't see me).

My wound burns now. I flushed it as soon as I got home, but fuck her so much. If I get the flu, I will riot.

There was also this moment of brilliant cognitive dissonance.

Her: I have the flu, but I'm mostly over it, so I shouldn't be infectious. Do you want me to wear a mask anyway?

Me: Yes, please. I have asthma and getting sick is awful for me.

She puts on the mask and later at her desk she looks at my file.

Her: So you started antibiotics. How are you feeling?

Me: Much better after a few days, but I'm still finishing the full course your team prescribed.

Her: Good, because even if you feel better, it (the infection) could come back, so it's good to finish the full course.

Like... lady... wut? Do you not hear yourself? WHY DID YOU COME TO WORK?!

@domo oh jeez, thats quite upsetting. sorry you had to experience that

@domo ugh. Sorry you had to deal with that awful woman again. I remember you talking about her before.

I am glad you are feeling better from your infection, though. That had to be painful. The swelling and stuff, ouch.

@Melezioh Thanks, fam. I'm glad it's much better now too. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even call the doctor. My partner had to do it for me. I'm so happy that's behind me and my penis looks a lot more... normal now too. The swelling really really freaked me out. I know a lot of guys say it's normal, but I think Jamie dodger coined the term of "frankenpeen" to describe when you first get lower surgery and it's swollen and still has all the stitches making it look very oof. About a month later he posted another video saying that he was happy to report that his frankenpeen had graduated to "pagent peen" and I snorted at the time. I'm really looking forward to having the stitches come loose.
@domo ouch. Glad your partner was there to help out. I do like the term frankenpeen. Totally would have used that with my bottom surgeries. Good you’re moving away from frankenpeen though.
