Quds News NetworkOrganizations specializing in prisoners' affairs reported that the number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons has exceeded 9,600 as of the beginning of April 2026, based on official data issued by the Israel Prison Service.
On March 30, the Israeli occupation approved a law imposing the death penalty on Palestinian detainees, while continuing to violate their rights inside the prisons and enforcing inhumane conditions.
These arbitrary Israeli policies have led to the deaths of more than 100 Palestinian detainees in prison since the start of the genocide in Gaza.
