Look around and describe an object as if it were a mysterious item (no name, no idea of it's purpose).The object stood on the desk in the midst of clutter. Largely white, and trimmed with silver at the top, which was an elongated oval, featuring a circle at its closest point, that also featured a strange, curvilinear slot.

It was slim, but also curved in a sort of teardrop shape. It was bisected horizontally at its widest point. Below that odd equator was a single circle bearing an odd symbol - an inner circle interrupted by a vertical line. Above that circle were seven black runes, two of which repeated in the sequence.

Kosh attempted to divine its purpose without its user present. Alas, that purpose was as opaque as the object itself.
