If anyone here enjoys #RetroGaming and wishes they had every guide written and shared on/by GameFAQs, you can download every single one of them (𝘢𝘱 𝘡𝘰 𝘒 𝘀𝘦𝘳𝘡𝘒π˜ͺ𝘯 𝘱𝘰π˜ͺ𝘯𝘡) with this #archiveorg link:

https://archive.org/details/Gamespot_Gamefaqs_TXTs

For all those who love old #gaming this might be a nice bookmark to save!

@flwwhtrbt That is amazing...

It used to be pretty easy to get to them and download via apps/etc. But at some point a while back they got all... well, you know. They went nuts really if you ask me. They didn't just start blocking/banning stuff like that. They started blocking half the Internet's IP ranges. (I can't even get to their stuff through my normal VPN anymore. I have to use TOR. And anything that makes me do that sure as heck isn't getting my real IP...)

I'm surprised how small this archive is. Though I wish it wasn't so dated.

@nazokiyoubinbou

I was reading some users' experiences with being banned from their forum for silly things, so that tracks.

I tend to find these guides for ollllld games like Ocarina of Time, or Super Metroid, so I guess for me...older is better!

@flwwhtrbt Yeah, the archive only going up to 2020 will still cover a LOT of territory! But, sadly, that's still going to miss a whole lot of really nice things and some remakes that made changes/different translations/etc.

Still, I'm certainly grateful for it. I'm just going to go ahead and download the whole thing. It's only 2.2GB.
