Flight tracking data has drawn attention after the U.S. emergency command aircraft known as the “Doomsday Plane” was seen flying above Offutt Air Force Base.
The aircraft, a Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, serves as a mobile command center designed to allow U.S. national leadership to continue operating during major crises such as war, nuclear conflict, or large-scale national emergencies.
The plane is part of the National Airborne Operations Center program and is equipped with advanced communications systems that enable it to coordinate military operations and maintain contact with forces worldwide.
