I find ordinary life endlessly fascinating. I'd love it if you would take a photo out of the window of whatever room you're in and reply this post with it¹. Doesn't have to be a prizewinning photo, just normal life frozen in time.

Here's mine.

¹ Obviously don't do this if you're currently on a nuclear submarine or in hiding from an abusive ex.

#photo #photography

@davidnjoku There you go.

(Luckily I'm not on a nuclear submarine!)

@heiglandreas @davidnjoku Wow, that's quite the view!!

@joejoetom It comes with a price 🙈 Next shop is 6km away 😁 Public transport? Ah well.... yeah.... sometimes.... 😂

@davidnjoku

@davidnjoku Here's mine, taken standing just outside in my back garden. Blind guy takes a photo, it may not be the most fantastic thing you've ever seen...
@FreakyFwoof No sunbathing in your underwear for you - unless you want to give those neighbours a show 😀
@davidnjoku Yeah my wife hates that part lol
@davidnjoku Love this idea! Unfortunately just missed sunset by ~30 min. Would have been a much more interesting photo…
@ccunning A rice paddy? What country are you in?
@davidnjoku Forgive me; this is not taken from the room I'm in but the room directly above, because the window in the living room is in need of a clean and it only opens with small windows at the top. Whereas the upstairs window opens fully. So no visible filth.
@davidnjoku I could of course have solved this problem by standing outside my living room window. But that didn't occur to me.
@RolloTreadway The sky looks huge. Much cloudier than where I am tho. Are you in the path of that storm they've been talking about?
@davidnjoku Yes, it came through here. Was very rough - the cricket ground at Chester-le-Street (a few miles south) was quite damaged.
@davidnjoku I'll ask @MoonCat to do the front instead, since she's better at photo-taking. Love the idea though.
@davidnjoku here you go!
@davidnjoku and the back...
@Slash909uk The leaves are all really colourful, but they look like you're in the southern hemisphere, rather than at that start of spring.

@davidnjoku hehe, definitely UK 😁

And thanks for the idea, I am enjoying the views!

@davidnjoku

Have you seen WindowSwap? It's a little slice of ordinary life somewhere else.

@nicolaottomano That's such a symmetrically pleasing photo, down to the mountains in the background.
@davidnjoku I'm on my way to work, via #PublicTransport - so here's a collage of pics from the train window here in #Pittsburgh
@SRDas Is that a famous bridge? (I've never been to Pittsburgh.)

@davidnjoku not a particularly famous one - but a major one - it's the Liberty bridge (5th one down in the list of Major bridges*) . Pic taken from the train on the Panhandle bridge (4th on list).
#Pittsburgh has a lot. A lot! Of #bridges ! More than Venice!‡

@SRDas 446 bridges?! Bloody hell! 😀

That just sounds like the kind of fact that I'm going to remember and will, in 10 years, get asked it in a pub quiz.

@davidnjoku Here's mine, from the evening dinner table
@davidnjoku ha I didn’t even have to get up. I have a security camera keeping the dog walkers honest.

@davidnjoku

This will change soon because the new neighbours are about to build a one-storey kitchen extension out to the boundary line.

@bytebro That's a really, really blue sky

@davidnjoku

It is a lovely day here in Bristol UK!

@davidnjoku

I think the first was around 14:00-ish? It's now about 18:00 here, and just look at it!

@bytebro Gotta say that people slag off our weather all the time, but it can be really lovely in the UK when the sun comes out
@davidnjoku good morning
@billinkc Is it really dusty or foggy - or is it just that it's 8 o'clock?
@davidnjoku 😁Would you accept "dirty window pane?"

@billinkc 🤣🤣🤣

That made me laugh out loud

Don't worry. I'm in no position to judge.

@jezhiggins Are those hills just beyond the trees?
@davidnjoku Yes, sort of. What you can see is just a little drumlin, but generally in that direction it's sloping down for about 5km to the sea. There are some more exciting hills, the Preselis, about 500m to the left, and to the right about a km away we've got sea cliffs.
@davidnjoku
Cherry trees Blossom has finished; new cherries too small to be visible.

@MamaLake Cats can wear clothes? Thought that was only dogs.
@davidnjoku made for a teddy bear, but can defiantly fit a cat: https://beige.party/@MamaLake/116312785660697547
But she likes it! lol better than my dog liked being dressed up

@MamaLake I've never owned a cat so I've always assumed that they hate everything 🙂
@davidnjoku this is my first cat, she definitely owns me. cats are really unique in their preferences and can change their minds in a flash, but they are sooooo affectionate when they want to be.
@MamaLake Right after I typed the words I realised I'd got it backwards: you never own a cat, they own you.
@davidnjoku cat distribution system is mostly cat led, though the universe will sometimes make the choice for everyone. A cat can be bought, but they choose who they bond with.
@davidnjoku this is my back garden. I was sat in the dining room whiling away a few minutes.
