@independentpen @MFennVT @CharlieMcHenry I assume that all in this thread agree that an AMOC collapse is a dramatic event which will change the lifelyhood of billions of people, reshape where food grows, changes coastlines etc. Imminent suggests, however, that something is definitely to happen now. This is how people would perceive the term and then when two years have passed without collapse, they will assume it is no longer a danger and never was.
