Here’s your high-res moon fix. 🤓😜

1000 frames stacked using a Nikon Z8 and Takahashi TSA-120 telescope > modified GoPro.

Note: I am not the author/photographer, please do not credit me, found video!

@gedeonm don’t suppose you can share the whole photo without the Ken burns? That would be an *amazing* desktop background.

@SimonCHulse Tried to find a link to the single 40 megapixel image from the author who took it but unsurprisingly I see no link to the complete image. The photographer’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWzUauYkw5q/

If you find it please let me know!

Now I'm even more confused. Ged, you are not the photographer then?

@_L1vY_ @SimonCHulse No, it was a found vid. Def ground based, not Artemis.
@_L1vY_ I updated the original post to try and help clarify that.
@gedeonm @SimonCHulse That Instagram account seems to be a content scraper. Bluesky folk identified the creator as Adam Kyle Jackson; he's got a YouTube channel with a long history of similar work, including this from a year and a half ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIy9Ob5P6uo

@me @gedeonm @SimonCHulse While this guy *may* be the creator of the OP video, those are not the same. The Instagram one shows a shadowed moon at the bottom, while the YouTube one crops the bottom. And Moon’s orientation seems to be different, showing different craters a the bottom left. Can’t say for sure because I’m on a phone and can’t compare them side by side.
@klangoso @gedeonm @SimonCHulse Yeah, the older video was just to indicate that he's been making them for a while, with similar equipment and results. His newest is the same video and was up before any of the social media messages that I've seen.
