It allowed the insurance grift to continue
It expanded the grift. I was uninsured and negotiating care for cash payments before Obamacare passed. Since then I have been paying monthly premiums for insurance but no money left for care, I have had exactly one checkup since Obamacare passed.
The important part is that you’re on a monthly paid plan, and if you become uninsured and have a lapse in your coverage, you will pay even more.
I only pay for “insurance” now. I can’t afford care and skip it. I’ve had a broken arm, weeks of vomiting, and a dozen dangerously high fevers, chronic breathing issues, and I didn’t get care for any of them. I also haven’t been to the dentist in over 25 years. But I have “insurance”. It’s fucking evil and so are the advocates of mandates.
