Was the whole scenario in which Iran downed two jets and the U.S. went in to rescue them actually a failed U.S. attempt to establish some kind of forward base in Iran for a ground invasion?
We lost a weird number of very weird craft-types on that rescue mission.

Someone said it sounded like they were trying to establish a forward post for invading, and got their a$$es handed to them.
Makes the meltdown less deranged. No less appalling, but it's not just that they haven't responded to his lunatic, bullying threats.
