@thomasjwebb The goal of Rogan, Limbaugh, Alex Jones and the like is to be entertaining to a dedicated and profitable audience.

Which, of course, Rachel Maddow has already done, but nobody asks if she's the "left's Rogan" because she appeals to older female cable viewers, not young male podcast listeners.

@dcolborne I do hear some commentators specifically say they want liberalism to appeal more to men. And maybe that’s kinda what they really mean - they think liberalism lacks masculinity and therefore coolness. Because they have a Joe Rogan audience understanding of what’s cool.
