I don't like video for news unless they're making fun of it, and AP should not be making fun of the news. (Or they should and I'm just old)
They spend more money to make a product that's less informative and takes more time to consume, so you will get less information overall

I wish we could have more of a split between reporting and opinion. and then focus on the former as a civic responsibility. everybody needs to pay a bit whether you consume it or not, because everything else you consume (and having a democracy) is built on it. but have it be done by very transparent non profits. it would become more universally trusted.
