Have you had your identity verified on LinkedIn to get the blue tick? This data is shared with any US authorities at their discretion.

I Verified My LinkedIn Identity. Here's What I Actually Handed Over.

I wanted a blue badge on LinkedIn. To get it, I gave a US company my passport, my face, and my biometric data. Then I read the fine print.

@veit Worse, LinkedIn randomly locks out accounts and requires the owner to provide ID in order to unlock it (and "prove they are human").

It also uses Persona.

Other options to verify are filing an affidavit and using a work email address, so providing ID isn't the only option.

But not everyone has a work email setup. Moreover, I don't know how they handle the account name not being a person's legal name (e.g. trans people in states which don't let them change their name).
