My main takeaways from @revisionparty as someone who has to travel from the other f’n side of the world (NZ):
⁃ I booked a night at an frankfurt airport hotel on the way there and back - this was _massively_ helpful
⁃ Previously I’d stayed at Hotel Crystal which is very nice, but they don’t have someone on the front desk for most of the day (!). I’d show up at 2pm and I couldn’t even get into the place (not fun after long flights) for hours. While the breakfast is good, they don’t really lean into the bar or food thing.
⁃ I stayed at Premier Inn City Congresshalle this time and my experience was 100x better (24hr lobby staff, they have a snack/drink kiosk open 24hrs, and the bar is serving to 2am incl over Easter)
⁃ Being somewhere more “central” meant it was much easier to get to shops (for groceries etc) and convenience stores (which were open over Easter). And the area felt more “alive” to me. (1/2)
