HOME
Arrived in NZ. Lovely to be around people being lovely and apologising for things not their fault (the british influence no doubt). I’m absolutely knackered. One more flight then HOME.
I’ve clearly been red-and-white-checker-pilled. Yesterday I became obsessed with what appeared to be a boing ball on the side of the tennis court on TV, then today every time I’ve watched a leaf fall from a tree (there are a lot of trees here, even at the airport) it’s made me think of desire/tte’s amazing “second nature” demo for amiga ocs.
Decided to be lazy today and just head to the jewel (attached to changi airport) while I wait to check in for my flight to NZ. It remains a pretty awesome place.
The Crowne Plaza hotel attached to changi (singapore) airport is super convenient and very nice. I can hear thunder rumbling in the distance.
Every trip I take has a soundtrack (intentional or not), and this one has largely been chvrches. I adore them but hadn’t listened to them for a few years until they popped up while I was searching for something random. Screen Violence (new to me) is brilliant. John Digweed’s Bunker Sessions providing most of the remainder :)

Waiting for boarding to start. Thank you Germany for being so good to me this year (I think last year’s trip was cursed). And i don’t think it rained once the whole week?!
Photo from this morning, outside the squaire building attached to FRA.
⁃ While it was about 30 mins walk from e-werk I just took a cab… costs can add up of course, but man, it was so much easier (use both FreeNow and Uber - I prefer FreeNow but I found their drivers can be flakey about showing up on a couple of occasions)
⁃ Get to e-werk soon after doors open on Friday (12-12:30pm), find a spot and make it yours. In future I will take a hoodie or something to put on my chair because certain people (*cough* the people dressed up as fractals) will steal your chair. Repeatedly.
⁃ Avoid steel (scener) as he’s a PITA
⁃ If you can do the shuttle buses to/from FRA then it’s a better option than trusting the German rail system
⁃ Talk to folk around you - they share your passion/weirdness. I randomly met a bunch of amazing people.
⁃ Dance.

What a brilliant first day at @revisionparty. Caught up with old friends, had good chats with a bunch of people i’d never met before and got to see the incredible talent of people in the scene. And this was the quieter day/night. The best time, Can’t wait for tomorrow. AMIIIIGAAAAAA!
