I received my notification this morning. Does anybody have a non-Google alternative to recommend?
Kat the Leopardess@KoHoSo So when my mobile service provider (Verizon) killed off thier native messenger, they pushed everyone to Google Messenger (RCS).
I was too uncomfortable with the idea (and Im trying to de-Google for the most part) so I went with Fossify things:
@Catwoman69y2k When VZW pulled that, I just switched to Samsung's. I since switched to T-Mobile and Samsung's still worked fine. Now that it is going away...well, Fossify Messages seems to work just fine!
@KoHoSo Yeah. Samsung messenger was a native app on my phone (at that time when I was switching) but something told me that they would enshittify in the same way VZW messenger did. I kinda decided to save myself the trip...
