Whenever I can't sleep¹ there's nothing better than a comfy, stupid, familiar movie. You know. An orange cat of movies. Not so stupid to make you groan, but must only require one braincell.

I'm looking to expand my repertoire.

Current insomnia movie is Pacific Rim.
I put it on, and may not make it to the end. Nap land in 3..2...1....zzz²

Now, importantly, collecting responses:

What is your naptime movie? Why?

¹ that's tight now
² I won't reply until I'm zzzzz...

@jjcelery The ‘50s version of The War Of The Worlds; but basically *any* MST3K (the first 10 seasons) or Rifftrax I’ve seen before. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the outrageously non-canon Doctor Who + Daleks movies from the ‘60s with Peter Cushing as the “””Doctor”””, but I’ve spent many a night gratefully lulled into oblivion by the Rifftrax commentary version of them both 😂 Also, given your obvious masochistic streak (yes, I’ve seen your most recent sewing projects 😅), the Star Wars Holiday Special may fit the bill, but even (especially!) in that case I would beg you not to go without a Rifftrax commentary 😭

@crowbriarhexe haha this is a very UK list! All of these shows completely passed me by and I find them intriguing, but not nostalgic, so they sorta don't work the same way.

Most of my nostalgia sci-fi shows are American 🤔

(also: me? masochistic? scoff! 😉)
