@farah it's just a corporate talking point, seems like people are contantly arguing about stuff actually, and the network overall is segmented along cultural and ideological lines, so there is, for example, a right leaning edgelord side of fedi vs. communist/anarchist fedi vs. democratic party aligned fedi

but what everyone across the board agrees upon is that we don't want AI slop and corporate capture, that's the whole reason we're all here

yeah or a lot of people just don't see the toxic shit that happens, against trans women or black people generally, or other toxic interpersonal stuff, it's not apparent unless you're in their bubble and so more people don't take it seriously... but there are also tools in place to curate and protect one's community that aren't present in corporate silos
