@zxm I don't think I know what corvid nests look like. 🤔
@mtechman https://old.reddit.com/r/crowbro/comments/1seah54/raven_with_chicks/ i suspect the nests are in trees with lots of leaves to camouflage the nest around here. for last few weeks i hear a lot of sea gulls in distress and when i turn i see a crow attacking the much larger birds in the air.
@zxm early pandemic, before befriending crows, daughter and I saw crows chasing eagle with fish in mouth....I like that they take an interest herding hawks away etc.
@zxm
Does "operate in pairs" have criminal implications? 😄
@mtechman jackdaws always seem to operate in pairs as one bird drops on food on the ground the other bird flies top cover in case another bigger bird tries to grab it. i have spotted a magpie ripping the food out of the beak of a jackdaw taking off so tactic seems to work when they do it.
@zxm so clever. Yesterday young crow filled beak with fishy catfood and flew off. Still not sure how it managed.
