@gary_alderson Now consider how many of these locations have been in a drought over the past 5 years. It's almost that the higher the drought risk, the more data centers are being built there.
@kdkorte i don't think they will all be built but fairly diverse distribution if you don't count texas. lots of jobs and economic activity - you could invest in worse projects as a nation

@gary_alderson Virginia also seems to be rather overbuilt.
Yet, I think Arizona, Utah, and Nevada are the biggest issues. None of these have the water for cooling.

Whether it is worth it will ultimately depend on the utilization. If the sector implodes, it will be a giant waste of money and opportunities.
