Apparently the fediverse is not a place for people to debate different opinions about technology.

That is untrue. I even saw someone using emacs the other day.

@neil I always saw the Fedi™ as something that is or can be made into whatever you want it to be - some people choose it to be something they don’t like, so they can yell at it, it seems. Sad.

@nblr Yep.

I appreciate that, for some communities, design decisions, and a prevailing tech culture, might be off putting. And that is a shame and we should fix it.

But that doesn't apply here.
