I read the comments for a few minutes, I knew quite quickly it was not worth the mental energy
To me the Fediverse is a village pub in the middle of nowhere, a place where it is quiet but everyone can hang out and be civil, and I like it that way. If my specific local isn't for me, I can just move to a different pub in a different village and enjoy that pub instead
If you want to be in the big city with big city attention, go for it. I'm just going to enjoy living in a village, different social media for different kinds of people
