@miyuru An alternative scenario would be that they just failed to properly maintain a supply of available addresses. (Perhaps someone ordered a large amount all at once?)

Also, IPv4 blocks are relatively speaking very cheap at the moment. If you need it, now is probably the best time to buy. Just don't buy at $99.99 like someone did, it messes with the graph! ( https://auctions.ipv4.global/prior-sales )

I haven't seen a website that aggregates the price the end user getting charged for servers.

Looking at the auction site, scaleway can buy more v4 and still make money.
