Glass lids on cookware are just another form of planned obsolescence, aren't they

@xahteiwi I've got some that must be getting 15+ years or more, so I don't think so ...?

@xahteiwi But the glass lids for my bowls have silicon seals.

Those need replacing because that does age, and also sometimes irreversibly absorbs horrible smells and thus flavors.

@larsmb @xahteiwi agree, the glass parts are the most durable in those lids usually

@felixf @larsmb Well I've dropped steel pot lids on my tile floor countless times and they sure as hell wouldn't have survived that if made of glass.
