I remember reading that part of the book in the early 90s and being rather puzzled about it. 😄

Bradbury’s writing isn’t really about predicting future tech, though. 🫠
If 451 was confusing, I highly recommend trying The Martian Chronicles. It’s one of my five favorite all-time books; it’s both more accessible and, I think, much more interesting.
I mean, I wasn't really saying that it was, only that it kind of did?
Sure, haha. People equating sci-fi authors with futurists is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, so that was just my first reaction.
(Also, I’m 98% certain other authors of the time had similar earpieces)
