I have learned about a old sitcom called Living Single. It's basically black Friends.

Except it's not! It came out first. Which means Friends is basically white Living Single. I'm going to get a copy and watch it so I can drop jokes and pop culture references from it to confuse the other white people.

Rumor has it that the creator of Living Single pitched it to Brandon Tartikoff, president of NBC, he loved the show. Put in an order for a season. Soon as creator was gone, jr. exec talked Tartikoff out of the order because NBC had enough "urban" tv. Then he got in touch with some writer/producers and told them he wanted Living Single with white people and that's how Friends was born.
