Jalapeño poppers are sandwiches.
@prettygood Mmk, let’s play along. So what about Jojo’s? They’re pretty much wrapped in fried… deliciousness. Sandwich? Or nah?
@rez I've worked for a while (more than I care to admit...) on hammering out what I believe to be a precise definition of what a sandwich is:

"An edible assembly that contains one or more starchy elements which in some way maintains or supports the cohesion of the other ingredients."

So here's a good example: a breaded jalapeño popper is a sandwich because the breading keeps it in its form and cohesive. A breaded chicken wing is *not* a sandwich because the breading is not necessary for structural integrity of the item.

Oreo? Pop tart? Sandwich. Hot dog, nigiri, burrito, stromboli, all obvious sandwiches. I'm not quite sure what a jojo is, aside from a bizarre adventure.

@prettygood might be a regional thing then. Fried potato wedges, but, like, not a french fry. They’ve got a seasoned coating they fry them in. They usually have them in cheapo grocery store deli sections in Kroger stores and stuff.

That said, I will consider your assessment. It… sounds plausible. Buuuut… if I ask for a sandwich and someone hands me a hot dog I’ll smack ‘em because they know damn well what I mean.
