Between Attack on Titain, Tougen Anki, and Sanda, 3 of the last 6 anime series I have watched involve the main character bleeding to get super powers.

I will say AOT really deviates from the "precious baby boy" protag trope where the lead character is super cool and everyone loves him.

Erin just gets the shit beat out of him all the time, emotionally and/or physically. At least every 3 episodes or so.

@mast0d0nphan I am at the end of season 3. The structure of episodes has gotten very confusing, but I think I am following all of the reveals.
