@Kristofferabild @LaserdiscTurtle I reread my toot and it wasn't clear enough. I have seen it once before but Mrs Wife hasn't. However, I've been waiting to watch the first film again so that I can finally watch Part 2 tomorrow.
I've definitely read books 1 & 2, a very long time ago and loved them. I really got into them and even found a copy of the Dune Encyclopedia. All of which I chucked when I moved out of my parents house. Stupid!
@Kristofferabild @LaserdiscTurtle I have a soft spot for the 84 version which I feel can only be really appreciated if you've read the book. It's like a greatest hits condensed version.
The new version just flows like the book and gives the story room to breathe. Also, the design and aesthetics are just wonderful. The costumes are amazing. I've deliberately not watched the trailer for film 3 as I don't want to spoil any of part 2.
