I wonder if any t-shirts survive from this era of TWA branding

@mcc If not, it would be very easy to replicate. That type is just Helvetica Black.

@mcc i wish i had a Pan I Am shirt
@mcc
I think you could do anything you wanted with their logo or livery. If they don't exist any more they can't sue.
I saw a reconstructed TWA 747 like that at the FAA site near SC that crashed into the Atlantic after an explosion after startup from NYC. they figured a cause to be a spark from a short of a fuel sensor in the front body fuel tank. it blew the front of the plane including the cockpit off...
@mcc idk but did you know that there's a retro 1960s themed TWA hotel at JFK airport? https://www.twahotel.com/
TWA Hotel at JFK

The TWA Hotel is the only on-airport hotel at New York's JFK Airport. Rated Best Airport Hotel in North America by Skytrax, the TWA Hotel is connected to Terminal 5 and a short AirTrain ride from all other terminals. Book an ultra-quiet guestroom or a park-and-fly stay!

@mcc OMG i miss that airline SFM. it was the best in this country ―and why Wall Street had to kill them. am still salty about it.

@mcc

You made yourself an idea! Just design a layout of a 747, Add text, light-blue and pink striping and you got a product to sell.

@mcc I always thought they should have called it Trans World Air Tours πŸ˜€
Before you continue to Google Search

@mcc Not sure about t-shirts. There should be airline pins. Airlines were into handing out their logo on pins in that era. Cheap advertising, and big with kids.
I never saw a t shirt, but lots of pins.
@mcc Been having a conversation recently with flight sim nerds on a discord I'm on and we were all talking about how much better old liveries are and I dug that one up specifically.

@mcc This got me thinking...

The company responsible for the UK's gas distribution network used to be called Transco (and is often still referred to as that).

The existence of Transco implies the existence of Cisco.

And both companies have expertise in dealing with big pipes.
