This morning's science-experiment-gone-wrong

Had some hard boiled eggs which were not boiled long enough (dyed for Easter).

Decided I did not like soft boiled eggs

Cracked the egg, and put it in the microwave for a minute

Looked fine. Took it back to the table, started to peel it... moments later, EGG EXPLOSION EVERYWHERE. EGG ACROSS KITCHEN.EGG IN HAIR. EGG ON FACE. EGG ON WALL. EGG ON CEILING.

@ai6yr My brother did something similar once. But with golf balls. He thought they seemed too chilly and maybe warming them up would be good that morning. They seemed ok when he took them out.

He put them in his pocket and left the house.

Luckily the resulting explosion did not impact any nearby body parts. But it could have gone really wrong....

@mem_somerville @ai6yr But it would be a hilarious practical joke to play on a golfing buddy about to hit his drive with everyone watching.
