I think it’s worth asking again — and seriously — what exactly do we have a 25th Amendment for if not for this?

Talk of removing Trump under 25A misunderstands what it's for and how it works. It has a mechanism for the VP to take over if POTUS is in a coma (& for POTUS to reassume power if he wakes up), but it's not for removing a POTUS who's dangerously incompetent. That's what impeachment is for.

25A removal is a higher threshold than impeachment. If 2/3 of the House supported removal, why wouldn't they just impeach?

@Thad @Strandjunker The 25th amendment allows for removing a president being 'unable' to perform the duties of office. It's not specific as to why, and the people who wrote it were deliberate about that. It does require the VP and the cabinet agreeing, and also Congress, since [redacted] is clearly not going to go voluntarily.
