I think it’s worth asking again — and seriously — what exactly do we have a 25th Amendment for if not for this?

@Strandjunker

War crimes Tuesday!

@Strandjunker just ONE of these completely insane posts from Biden would have sent the Republicans in a frenzy.
@Strandjunker Nothing shows that the so-called "greatest" institutions and constitutions in the world were actually pretty useless all along, like if it takes only one orange clown to dismantle them.
@matus_chochlik @Strandjunker but he had the Heritage Foundation greasing the wheels and enabling the crazy. And they threw a shitton of money buying Congressmen.
@Darkphoenix @Strandjunker a constitution that allows and de-facto encourages the buying of congressmen might be part of the problem..
@Strandjunker *[crickets in the distance]*

@Strandjunker

25th amendment isn't real & will never be invoked, proved when Reagan was allowed to stay in office with dementia

according to what i heard, what they had instead in Reagan's era was a 2nd guy with a 2nd nuclear suitcase & if the guy didn't turn his key, there could be no nuclear war, that's likely the only reason there's still a world since Reagan was another who thought he was in a movie

i just hope we still have that 2nd guy to hold the line aga. a madman's first strike ?

@peachfront @Strandjunker

That guys name was Nancy

@MrBranch40 @Strandjunker

i heard it was a guy in the military at not even the level of a general & not a name any of us would know... but i think nancy's astrologer certainly ruled the country at a lot of levels...

Anyone who could fulfill the role of this 2nd guy has already been fired. There are only sycophants left, profiting from the manipulations on the financial markets, and afraid to do anything that could make Trumpf angry.

@FransVeldman @Strandjunker

thought has crossed my mind

in Reagan's day, apparently it wasn't so easy for the POTUS to fire random military officers but Congress is sitting back & letting the POTUS do it on the daily because they're in on the grift

the current military (since at least W Bush) is full of cowards happy to do any war crime or shrug & just take a pension & let their country be destroyed

disgraceful behavior on all sides from everyone in a position of power

@Strandjunker
Let's stop pretending that the US is a functioning country.
@cdamian @Strandjunker The better statement is 'Let's pretend that the US is a plutocracy', but that's just my opinion man.
@Strandjunker
The problem is those that can raise the 25th amendment are all in with this behavior/action.

@Strandjunker

Not #Felon47 's format/style.

Hegseth maybe?

@MrBranch40 @Strandjunker

This was my immediate reaction, way too direct

@Strandjunker What do we have impeachment for if not Jan 6th. It’s all meaningless
@Strandjunker I had to see if this was real and then I realized it was and he makes money off each crazy post. To get to this post I had to see 4 ads for crazy bullshit.
@MeaningfulBits @Strandjunker Definitely some "rigging the Polymarket" vibes with this one.
@Strandjunker
Unfortunately, there have to be folks with spines. I've been looking but haven't seen any yet! Tick-tock America.✌🏾

@Strandjunker Sadly, there's a strong case for this administration in purposefully disrupting vital infrastructure, in order to profit more till the next administration.

Nepotism wealth combined with charisma, and a pulpit like Art of the Deal and far reaching tv series, has led to one of the most abusive power paradigms, in human history. It's time for complete replacement.

@EvoScale @Strandjunker charisma is most definitely not part of the equation but you are right though and that is a very clear way to put it.
@falcennial Epstein had a sick and twisted charisma, as well.

@[email protected] we take opposite definitions of charisma I have identified. how interesting!

mine is:

an appealling personality whose charm is clearly evident in ones actions and words.

and not

a sociopath who uses the tools of populism to manipulate cowards to extreme violence.

@Strandjunker also: The Hague's International Criminal Court.
@deborahh @Strandjunker Is that the one where there's a US law that allows the US army to violently extract any US citizen or ally who the court tries to prosecute? Or the one where the top judges lost access to all their bank accounts and credit cards because they pissed off the US for investigating Netanyahu's genocide?
@Strandjunker „Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign of a diseased mind.“ - Terry Pratchett

@Strandjunker

How much of his base really likes this? I know they like it when it's about familiar American racism or sexism... but when it's a war on the other side of the world I think a lot of people who might like the bluster in other contexts aren't on board with this at all.

Yes, even the army families, really especially the army families.

@futurebird
No one is on Truth Social but a handful of journalists, Trump, and a few hundred sycophants. Even his admin still just uses Twitter.

TS is just Trump’s random screaming pillow and a weird ticker that journos farm for content.

@Strandjunker

@futurebird
All that to say, I still don't fully understand what or who those posts are for.
@Strandjunker
@Strandjunker You mean you don’t recognize this as “the moment when Trump truly became President”? /s
@Strandjunker Will no-one rid us of this turbulent pest? #25thNow

@Strandjunker If this won't be a warning tale to never ever again have republicans in power, then I don't know what will be.

Then again when there will be prosperity for enough years people will want some fucked up shit and will elect a republican again. It has already happened how many times so far?

@Strandjunker

I mean, what is this even? Him mentioning Allah… that’s got to be a blasphemy somewhere

@GhostOnTheHalfShell Tell all his Christian Supremacist followers that he was just seen praising Allah.

@Strandjunker

@riley @Strandjunker

maybe he's going after a different demographic suddenly

🤪

@GhostOnTheHalfShell The last person in the room told him silly stereotypes about all Muslims being religiously loyal to their caliph?

@Strandjunker

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @Strandjunker My most generous reading is that he's trying to be funny or sarcastic, but he doesn't have the skills to make that clear, so it just looks unhinged and baffling.
@Strandjunker This crazy man is the one who ruined our lives with Israel. He's insane and his speeches are nonsense. 😡😡
@Strandjunker Only 621 re-posts and only 2.3k likes. Just a lonely fool.

FYI, I looked on Truth Social and this post appears legit.

@Strandjunker
Who shall bell the Cat?

@Strandjunker - to say nothing of The International Criminal Court, which is tasked with prosecuting war crimes, which all of this blatantly is, "when national courts are unwilling or unable to prosecute", which is clearly the case.

Seriously, the ICC has jurisdiction to prosecute Trump & Co. for so many things, including rape & enforced disappearance, not to mention genocide, so Israel should also be in its crosshairs - what the fuck are they doing in Hague?

@jwcph @Strandjunker ICC had their Microsoft and bank accounts revoked in response to investigating Netanyahu. Give them a break.
@Strandjunker the constitution was always cover for what the Owning class wanted done. Their tool to wield or not, as they see fit. It never applied to everyone in a meaningful way.
@Strandjunker I don't see VP or any other cabinet member declare him unfit...
@Strandjunker and in that case, congress needs to act and I don't see that happening either
@Strandjunker I keep hoping the Iranians will rid us of this bastard even though we're too dumb and cowardly to do it ourselves.
@Strandjunker
The entire globe is forced to witness this insanity because of the spineless, hateful KKKoward GQP.

@Strandjunker To establish an order of succession following the JFK assassination.

Talk of removing Trump under 25A misunderstands what it's for and how it works. It has a mechanism for the VP to take over if POTUS is in a coma (& for POTUS to reassume power if he wakes up), but it's not for removing a POTUS who's dangerously incompetent. That's what impeachment is for.

25A removal is a higher threshold than impeachment. If 2/3 of the House supported removal, why wouldn't they just impeach?

@Thad @Strandjunker The 25th amendment allows for removing a president being 'unable' to perform the duties of office. It's not specific as to why, and the people who wrote it were deliberate about that. It does require the VP and the cabinet agreeing, and also Congress, since [redacted] is clearly not going to go voluntarily.

@Strandjunker Another proof that he lost his marbels.

I am missing the times when politicians thought before acting and the speak in clearly structured sentences ("But Obama wore a tan suit!" ... As did Reagan.

When does this nightmare end?
