Hey what’s up my Mastodon #gearsquad friends? I’ve been traveling this week and have seen some things, one of which was a 10-piece band at a wedding reception that turned water into gasoline. Nothing but crowd pleasers and a packed dance floor both before and after dinner. Three lead singers. Trombone, trumpet and sax. Holy moly.

@NigelTufnel You really only stay in business if you deliver that kind of experience… but on the other hand, if the people chose to spend the money on a band, in a way you have already won since they are willing you to be awesome!

@samvarma @NigelTufnel Long ago in a Minneapolis far far away, I played in a 10-piece tux band that regularly measured its successes by how much jewelry was lost on the dance floor. good times.
