🇵🇷Spent the day in a #paintingminiatures workshop given my Marco Frisoni
Today was a great day. Day 2 is tomorrow
roofuskit@roofuskit He’s focusing on helping us understand lighting source and how to establish that in the beginning of the painting process. He “sketches” out the lighting scheme on the model using black and white paint. A more deliberate zenithal that depending on the model size may take a few hours.
Since I absolutely never incorporate the source of light when I paint, this has been enlightening and frustrating.
Today we will learn about how to add color with the sketch informing where and how it gets applied
@Diami03 that's great. I am amazed by his underpainting techniques and have done my best to replicate them from his videos. A lot of my Kruleboyz army was experimenting with that and contrast paints to achieve a passable result with speed. I would love to do an in person class with him. Stuff like this makes me wish I took art classes seriously in school.
