Lots of #xteinkx4 talk last night and then this morning notice there was also a new release of #crosspoint reader yesterday
.. version 1.2 is out! Cc @foosel :)
@concretedog Funnily enough I already flashed that yesterday, good timing I guess ^^
@foosel I'm interested to see if 1.1 -> 1.2 update works using the OTA function.. but currently reading on it so will attempt later!
@concretedog How's your WiFi reception working? I'm a tad surprised by the bad connection I see on mine while I have really good WiFi coverage in my apartment, even for other ESPs 😅
@foosel mines been OK but I've only used it near a AP in my office and only transfered small amounts. Not synched a lot so dunno!

@concretedog gotcha. Well, using my phone as a hotspot works fine, so not a problem at least. Just weird considering that I have a ton of ESPs without issues around here, but who knows what they did insight of this thing 😅

Not sure if you saw, but flashed a Crosspoint fork on it to make KOsync across my devices properly. Also came with a weather app 😆

@foosel Ha thats very cool! I also think I saw a fork with a virtual pet?!/tamagotchi?!

@concretedog haven't yet come across that one 🤔

Currently investigating how to maybe make it work to sync reading stats up to koinsight too. But oof, C++ 😅

@foosel @concretedog I'm working on an official link library version of TRMNL which would allow you to easily add that functionality to projects like Crosspoint. It's a very small amount of code and will allow you to pull images and push sensor data with simple API calls. You'll control how and when.
