vxo@quixoticgeek I just find everything about those monsters aesthetically pleasing. Ever had the opportunity to hear the soft swishing noise they make up close?
@vxo oh yes. In flevopolder you can walk up to the turbines. The newest generation have serrations on the trailing edge which dramatically reduces the sound footprint. Cycling round the area you can see four distinct generations of wind turbine.
@quixoticgeek Very neat (though I do not recommend getting anywhere near the turbine when there's a risk of rime ice - they will build it up then YEET it!)
