@vxo oh yes. In flevopolder you can walk up to the turbines. The newest generation have serrations on the trailing edge which dramatically reduces the sound footprint. Cycling round the area you can see four distinct generations of wind turbine.
@quixoticgeek Very neat (though I do not recommend getting anywhere near the turbine when there's a risk of rime ice - they will build it up then YEET it!)

though personally transmission towers and wires strung across the land is more my jam. then again we barely have any wind turbines here in british columbia, everything is hydro so we dont need em.

also radio masts! radio masts are the best i love radio masts. i take pictures of all the ones i see. they look pretty in day and night. i love watching the red beacons flash on the radio mast i can see from my home.
can you tell i like pretty infrastructure? yeah :P
to me, the steel structures that stretch across the landscape are just as important to a view as trees or cliffs
