The Talibanโ€™s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, told the Afghanistanโ€“Central Asia consultative meeting in Kabul that both sides face shared challenges, including threats from the ISKP group, drug trafficking, particularly synthetic drugs, illegal migration, and organized crime.

Muttaqi stated that Taliban forces have taken decisive action against individuals and groups that undermine Afghanistanโ€™s relations with Central Asian countries. He noted that Afghanistan shares 2,329 kilometers of land and river borders with its Central Asian neighbors, underscoring the need for closer cooperation in reinforcing the banks of the Amu River and modernizing border infrastructure.

He also assured participants of the Talibanโ€™s readiness to address the concerns of Central Asian countries and to strengthen regional collaboration.
