NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" rebounded sharply from mid-March, finishing at 66%.

BA.3.2.* "Cicada" grew to 14%.

Here are the NB.1.8.1.* sub-lineages reported for March. The growth was driven by the new RC.7.1.1 lineage, featuring the Spike A684T mutation.

The significant wave shown in wastewater concentrations (reported at poops.nz) seems to have peaked in early March, so was probably pushed along by RC.7.1.1 to some extent.

The RC.7.1.1 lineage has been widely reported around NZ, from 11 DHB’s (regions) so far. It is clearly over-represented in the Southern region, with 11 of the 31 samples.
