If a Muslim majority nation passed a law to dictate what women & men can & cant wear, we'd rightly condemn it & do condemn forced hijab laws.

But because Ohio House MAGAs just passed HB 249 "Indecent Exposure Modernization Act" to ban clothing, makeup, or appearance that the State of Ohio thinks men or women shouldn't wear, corporate media ignores it & this is probably the first you've heard of it.

But hey, since MAGAs now love Big Government, let them go arrest the men in these photos first.

@QasimRashid
We are so far past that.
We are already at the point of hospitals taking women, WHILE IN LABOR, to court, without legal representation, to forcibly be allowed to perform surgical intervention, against their will.

@QasimRashid

Looks like Kristi Noem can no longer bring her husband to Ohio.

(She'd probably prefer to bring her boy toy instead anyway...)

@QasimRashid Fortunately it still has yet to pass their Senate and then be signed by their Governor

Ohio is really trying to reach the 19th century

@QasimRashid I sort of recall reading about France at one point banning burkas. So a couple of French women made a "fashion statement" by going out in public with an outfit that was a burka on the top and a miniskirt on the bottom. It think it was to make fun of this law.

This is from memory, so please excuse details that might be a bit off.

@QasimRashid How does this survive a first amendment challenge?

@QashimRashid Yes, it sucks. It gets very minimal broadcast news coverage locally here in Columbus, but it does get some coverage.

But the legislature hasnโ€™t stopped there...

They are also trying to subvert the constitution even more with recent proposed misogynist legislature undermining the state constitution article 1, section 22 that the voters passed, which started to make Ohio a safer place again for women.

They are also continuing to try to pass legislation to prevent any future electoral reform by voters.

But a reminder that Ohio has not had legitimate elections for federal representatives in over 6 years. This doesnโ€™t get reported either. Last year, noted piece of shit US Senator and former Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, rewrote ballot language to insert propaganda to tank what could have led to legitimate elections in the future.

@QasimRashid

Hereโ€™s the text of the bill. https://search-prod.lis.state.oh.us/api/v2/general_assembly_136/legislation/hb249/02_PH/pdf/

Iโ€™m not seeing verbiage that would let them ban drag, but the gop is good at hiding their intentions, and Iโ€™m not a law reader.
