We’re on the road again. Unfortunately having to use a Tesla charger for the first stop because it was slim pickings around Raymond Terrace.

At the next charge stop (Taree) and there was a relative new EV over there charging to 100%

I heavily hinted that 80% was all that was usually needed, but they didn’t get the hint. So we waited about 15 mins for them to put the last 2% in (for non EV owners, battery charging slows considerably over 80% and the general etiquette is to not charge more than 80% if there are others waiting unless you really need to).

Nice couple just need a bit of time to learn the ropes.

Bit of fun with the lunch charging spot. First plan was the BP near Nambucca Heads, but they have one charger, someone was using it and another waiting. On to South Coffs, where there’s a Chargefox, and it was completely empty. Alas, it also didn’t like our car. Tried both plugs, no go. Now with 30km left in the battery, we have gone to the Tesla at the shopping centre. Arrived with 5% battery. Going to be a long charge at this one.

Charging at Ballina Services. Two spots available (of two total). Advertised as 75kw, but they max out at 50kw. Plugged in, started charging and then immediately the other slot goes Out of Service. We’re fine, but the guys that just turned up either need to wait for us, or head in to Ballina to the Chargefox chargers.

and we're home. Past me thoughtfully prepared and froze several serves of chilli-con-carne, so it's nachos for dinner tonight.
@david Past you is a legend! Welcome home :)
@david and… when we headed south there was only one working charger here, so we went into Ballina for the Chargefox+coffee!
@david sounds like they didn’t provision 150KW of supply huh
