#EroticMusings 45: Bunny Week! Share your characters "... like rabbits" (e.g. fucking, dressed, hopping, eating lettuce?)

i'm having to ease into Luce and Eleanor's sexual relationship with some pretty vanilla scenes. since Eleanor doesn't have very much experience, it wouldn't make sense to have her doing a lot of confident sexual experimentation out of the gate. the two are also currently in the honeymoon phase, so things are frisky, but still fairly innocent.

as i mentioned before, sex scenes can be a bit of a problem for pacing, so right now, i have to summarize much of the action. maybe this will change as things go on, maybe not.

'Thus the bed was warmed, and the morning enjoyably squandered.'

it seems there aren't a lot of loving sex scenes in the books i read. the literary point of view seems to be that 'real' sex is unsatisfying and dysfunctional in some way, even in works that supposedly have sex-positive politics. maybe this is naive of me, but i don't think this is a very sex-positive vision, to treat sex so frequently as something that hurts or degrades. can't characters be happy and satisfied with each other afterwards, without all this melancholy brooding? isn't that an authentic part of relationships, too?
