I wish people would knock it off with the "history will remember you poorly" offensive.
No sociopath who's filthy rich and powerful cares if some scholar 100 years from now says something unflattering about them. Go after these people in the here and now.

so what if history says they were criminals, what we saw was their war crimes paid -- so the GOP is giving us more & more crime so they can keep filling their pockets
f'n Bush is still alive BTW & has never been in any danger whatsoever of facing justice for his crimes
quite rightly, Trump presumes the same will be true for him
the law only applies to Democrats
