The Talibanโ€™s Minister for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, reportedly stressed the importance of studying science and technology, especially for young people, during a meeting with jihadi and tribal leaders from across the country. Citing a verse from the Quran, he added that possessing advanced technology strengthens national security, noting that it can deter both neighboring states and other actors from violating a countryโ€™s airspace.
