Had an excellent pedal this morning with my friend Rob, at the Santa Rosa Plateau. It was the second round of our Bike the Meadow program which is meant to use bicycles as a gateway to infecting people with a love of nature.

Mostly because the county has failed to advertise is in any way, no one showed up so we just pedaled together and talked.

Lots of UC biologists do research at the the Plateau; it is unique and special for many reasons, not least of which is as a link in the path of many creatures through the Santa Ana mountains. Trail cams and “connectivity research” typically mean: Cougar study.
