Spent the morning hiking Hug Point and Cape Falcon. Beautiful day at the Oregon coast currently. Sunny and warm. Lots of my hiking today was along the Oregon Coast Trail. I got tired of the mud so I road walked 101 back to my car to make it a loop. No regrets.
@andrewbriscoe Was it just usual spring mud at Cape Falcon, or something we should get a trail crew out to address? Any logs or major brush that need clearing? I’m a volunteer with a working group at Trailkeepers of Oregon that supports the Oregon Coast Trail.
@TrailTurtle Probably just the normal mud, I’ve never hiked the section before. I only had to duck under one tree. I hiked from where the OCT crosses 101 on the north end of the headland to the Short Sand Beach trailhead. The north side is a bit overgrown, but nothing major. Thank you for working on the trails, much respect! I really need to use my volunteer days off of work this year.
