@NormanDunbar I consider that it’s much worse than just being dross, it seems to me that abject cruelty is the aim. My wife of 53 years is an avid soap fan, I ingest it by osmosis, and most are deeply cruel too, pushing the right wing nonsense that we are all in danger from ‘others’. I bloody despise it!
@jaycee I'm afraid I cannot be in the same room as the soaps. They are a diabolical waste of brain cells.
Any time I've had to go into the lounge while one is on (thankfully MrsD only watches Coronation Street) everyone is fighting or arguing. Plus, the acting is reminiscent of having to watch Crossroads as a kid as my mum watched it.
